We'll even chat about what you can do when social media gets weird!
This session focuses on setting routines and expectations in the classroom to help students manage expectations and teachers manage their time. These routines range from grading, to classroom management, to maintaining positive relationships with students. There will also be some round-table discussion time for teachers to share thoughts on some positive routines they have found to be effective in their own classrooms.
What do you consider major and minor disruptive behaviors in your classroom? What is your response when these behaviors occur? In this session, we will categorize behaviors, discuss ways to be proactive, and look at next steps to take when disruptions occur.
Participants will rotate through various hands-on media stations, engaging with peers in creative exploration with paint, guided reflection designs activities and drawings, and adaptable differentiated learning/extended activities for GT students - all compiled into a personal interactive reflection booklet.
